Brushless motors enable vastly improved hydraulic systems, with high efficiency, reduced mass and operating cost, as well as greater performance, flexibility and reliability.  In most applications, eCycle’s motors offer maximum flow with minimum current.

eCycle's motor/pump sets and hydraulic power units are based on the SolidSlot brushless motor/generator.  The result is a dramatic improvement for users of hydraulic equipment.

Efficient Motor, Efficient Pump

eCycle achieves this improvement by close coupling the innovative SolidSlot brushless motor to a high efficiency hydraulic pump.  This eliminates several components traditionally associated with DC power units, while delivering increased system performance and efficiency. Most notably, the same performance is often provided by a SolidSlot brushless motor using only 1/3 the current of a brushed DC motor.  Further, eCycle brushless motors are often 1/5 the size and mass of such motors.

Fixed displacement gear pumps, such as Haldex W900 series, and variable displacement piston pumps, such as Bosch-Rexroth A10 series, are recommended.

High Performance, Cost Effective

eCycle’s SolidSlot  motors deliver the next level of cost-effective performance, able to provide OEM customers with a competitive solution. SolidSlot is the only motor with built in electronic commutation and soft-start, enabling it to run directly from a battery.  Unlike brush motors, contactors are not required.
